Therapeutic Community
Offered at Nanaimo Correctional Centre, Guthrie House Therapeutic Community is a four month residential substance abuse treatment program.
Drug and Alcohol
The goal of the program is to decrease problems related to substance misuse and reduce recidivism.
Inmate Assistance
Provide services, which will be useful for the inmates in achieving a successful re- entry into the community.
Aftercare
The program provides a platform for transition from incarceration to living in the community.
Forensic Housing and Outreach
Provides safe supportive housing and outreach that encourages healthy lifestyle choices, social responsibility and transition back into the community.
Parks & Trails
To offer Forensic Housing/Outreach clients pre-employment opportunities; by assisting with the clean-up and over all appearance of our City Parks and Trails.
Transitional Housing
Provides safe, affordable, drug and alcohol free housing for men in the early stages of recovery from addiction.
Community Employment
Provides employment support to clients who are on Conditional Release.
Urban Clean-Up
To increase pre-employment opportunities for Mental Health clients and to improve overall neighbourhood appearance.
Community Service Order
For youth who are required by Court or Extra Judicial Orders to perform Community Work Service.
Volunteer
Our volunteers play a vital role in both Society administration and program delivery. Individual community members provide a variety of services to the Society on a volunteer basis.
